Welcome my magickal friend!
This meditation is to help you establish a spiritual connection to your higher self or a divine spirit. Let this meditation take you to a place of peace and spiritual connection to give you comfort and guidance.
Establish the breath
Close your eyes and find a comfortable position to sit where your back is relaxed and supported.
Bring your focus to your breath as you slow down your breathing to a comfortable, easy rhythm. Breathe in through your nose, 2, 3, 4, and out through your mouth, 2, 3, 4. Focus solely on the breath entering your body and then leaving your body. In, 2, 3, 4, and out, 2, 3, 4.
What does the breath feel like coming in? Feel your lungs expand, your stomach extending, the sensation of the air passing through your nose and down your throat. And what does the breath feel like on the way out? Feel your diaphragm contract, your chest lowering, the air passing over your tongue and out past your lips.
Body scan
Now bring your attention to the top of your head. Feel the muscles in your head start to relax. Continue down to your forehead and behind your eyes, bringing that feeling of relaxation. Then bring your focus on your cheeks and jaw, feeling them soften and relax.
Now bring that relaxing sensation to your neck and shoulders. Feel the tension melt away as you continue down to your arms and hands. The softening continues into your chest and shoulder blades. Now feel the muscles relax as you focus down on your abdomen and your lower back.
Feel the loosening of the muscles in your hips and pelvic area. Now bring that feeling of relaxation into your thighs and knees. Feel the tension drain from your body as you move your focus down to your shins and then out of your feet. Your body should feel completely relaxed.
Establish your connection to earth
Now bring your focus to the earth beneath your feet. Whether you’re barefoot or wearing shoes, indoors or outdoors, imagine you feel the soft earth under you.
Let your mind continue down into the earth, feeling through the dirt and rocks. Connect to the millions of roots from all of the different trees around you. Feel the connection to the thousands of critters that live beneath the surface of the earth.
Continue down through the sediment and bedrock. Feel the warmth of her fiery core as you reach the center of the earth. Send her gratitude for her constant presence and support for all life that lives within and upon her. Now bring that warmth back up through the earth to fill you where you sit.
Find your spiritual connection
Now turn your attention to your heart center. Imagine a soft glowing light around your heart. What color is it? What does it feel like? Is it cool or warm? Does it tingle or pulse?
Once you have fully connected to your heart center, bring your attention to that divine space where your higher self or divine spirit lives. Is it around you? Is it above you? Do you see it as a scenery or somewhere in the cosmos?
See your higher self or divine spirit manifest before you. What do they look like? Do they have a body or are they pure energy? What do they feel like?
Greet them with love and feel their love return in kind.
Establish a heart link
Once you have acquainted yourself with their energy, feel a channel of energy go from your heart to theirs. What does this energy feel like? Can you see it? What does it look like?
Now you feel energy from their heart going to your heart. The energy is moving back and forth between your hearts until it is a vibrant energy link. Let this link fill you with a love so pure that fills your whole being.
Ask questions
Now is the time to ask your higher self or divine spirit any questions you may have. It could be about a particular situation, or just asking for general guidance for your life.
Give yourself the space to truly hear and absorb what they have to tell you. Sit with this as long as you need.
Give thanks
Once you have gotten your answers, thank your higher self or divine spirit for their guidance and wisdom. Feel the comfort they bring you and show them gratitude for what they have shared with you today.
Gently disconnect the heart link as you take your leave to return to your body.
Return to the breath
Once you have begun to return to your body, feel the breath bringing oxygen to your lungs. Feel your chest rise and fall as you reestablish your breathing. Breathe in through your nose, 2, 3, 4, and out through your mouth, 2, 3, 4. Breathe in and out in this manner a few more times, and when you feel ready, open your eyes.
Reflection
Sit for a minute and reflect upon the guidance you received from your higher self or divine spirit. Know that you can return to them whenever you need answers to your questions or if you just want to connect with them. For now, take comfort in knowing that they are always there for you.
