Hello my magickal friend and welcome to Choosing Sunshine!

 

Today’s meditation is going to help you gain a mindset to establish a feeling of community in your life. This meditation will help you raise your energy using the energy of Mabon to find your spirit community, wherever they may be in your life. 

 

Establish the breath

 

Take a moment to settle yourself where you are. Close your eyes and then turn your focus to your breath. Take a deep breath in, then breathe out all of the negative energy of the day. Breathe deeply in, then breathe out stress and worry. 

 

Continue this rhythm of breathing in and then out until you feel yourself relax and able to block out the sounds of the day. Focus on the breath coming in, then focus on your body expelling the air from your lungs. 

 

Body scan

 

Now turn your focus to the top of your head. Imagine all of your stress and tension melting down from your crown. You feel it drain down like the wax from a candle. Then you feel it continue down into your forehead and face. Just feel the stress melt away. 

 

Then the melting continues down to your jaw and neck. You feel the weight of all of the tension lifting as it goes down into your shoulders and chest. Like a candle, the stress just courses down your body. 

 

You then feel the stress melting down your back and arms. The tension leaves your body as it melts away. This feeling then continues down into your stomach and abdomen, freeing your body from the heaviness. 

 

Then the melting feeling continues down into your hips and thighs. The tightness of your body relaxes as the feeling travels down into your knees and shins. Finally, the melting feeling runs out of your feet to be transmuted by the Earth. You now feel light and relaxed. 

 

Connecting to the Earth

 

Feel the Earth beneath your feet. Follow your consciousness down into the rich soil, down into the warmth of the Earth. As you travel down, feel yourself spread out like an old tree with hundreds of thousands of roots going in all directions. 

 

You feel the energy pulse through your root system, like the pulse of blood running through your veins. This energy helps you to reach out, then you feel yourself connecting to all of the living things on the Earth. 

 

Establishing a mindset for community

 

Now feel that connection saturate your being. Every molecule of your body vibrates with the connection you have to every living being on Earth. Plants, animals, humans, the elements, you are connected to it all. 

 

Send your energy out to everything you are connected to. When you feel your energy touch a living being, then send it love. Follow up all of your connections with love. In your mind, you are kin to all things on Earth. 

 

Meeting your community 

 

Within this connection that you have, you start to feel drawn to certain beings. Certain places within your web of connection start to grow brighter and have a stronger connection to you. Focus your energy on these spots now. 

 

Once your focus is on these glowing spots, then concentrate your attention there. You feel drawn to these beings. You recognize their energies as your community. These are the beings that are meant to be a part of your life. 

 

They may be familiar to you, or maybe you have never encountered them in your physical life. Regardless, you feel a deep connection to these beings, the likes of which you have never felt before. This is your community. These are the beings meant to be in your life. 

 

Send them love and then feel their love return to you. Embrace their energies and feel your connection deepen. This is what true connection and community feels like. You feel supported and loved. This is where you find your home. 

 

Returning to the breath

 

Once you have established this connection, place it in your heart center. You will recognize these beings whenever you next encounter them in this lifetime. Come back to the breath by breathing in their energies. This connection fills you with your breath. 

 

Slowly, return your focus to your breath. Feel it enter your lungs, and then exhale that air. Continue to breathe in, and then out for a few moments until you have returned fully to your body in the present moment. When you feel ready, move your fingers and toes, then open your eyes. 

 

Reflection

 

Sit for a moment in reflection on your experience meeting your community. Did you recognize anyone’s energy? Were their familiar faces? How did it feel to connect with them on an energetic and spiritual level? 

 

Write down a few thoughts about your experience and know that whenever you need to feel that connection, this meditation is available to you. Be comforted knowing that you have beings out there that share your energy and heart.
