Hello my magickal friend!
This meditation is to help inspire you to take action toward the goals in your life using the energy of Litha. Take this celebration of the Sun and turn it into motivation and drive to move you forward on your path.
Establishing the breath
Relax into the surface you rest upon, whether that be a chair, a pillow, or a bed. Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose. Gently exhale out through your mouth. Take a deep breath in again, feeling your lungs expand, then a long breath out as your diaphragm contracts. Continue with this slow, smooth breathing until you feel yourself settle into a steady rhythm. Concentrate on how the air feels coming into your body, then leaving your body.
Relaxing the body
Now turn your attention to the top of your head. Feel the muscles start to loosen as you continue down to your face and jaw. Your neck and shoulders relax as you bring your attention down continuing to your arms, chest and shoulder blades.
The feeling of relaxation continues down to your stomach then to your hips and lower back. You feel your pelvic area relax into the surface you rest upon as the relaxing feeling continues down to your thighs and shins. You feel all the tension of your body drain out of your feet as you embrace the feeling of total relaxation.
Connecting to the Sun
With your body totally relaxed, take a moment to focus on the Sun. Feel the warmth of it’s rays shining down on you. You sense a spark inside of you ignite when it’s touched by the Sun’s fire. Feel that spark grow larger as it turns into a ball of golden warm energy.
It starts glowing in your power center, right above your navel and it grows bigger and brighter the more the Sun’s rays feed it. In addition, you feel the energy fill your whole body, from head to toe. You start to glow with a golden light just like the Sun on a warm summer day.
Tapping into the energy of Litha
Visualize the Sun at its peak in the sky. The earth and sky are standing still. Absorb that energy as the Sun reaches its zenith. The energy of Litha is around you. Feel it sink into your skin, feeding your power center.
Now see before you a great bonfire and it is made up of all the potential energy you have created in your life. This is the energy that motivates you to go for your goals. Embrace the warmth of the fire as you soak in the energy you need to take action.
Focusing on your goals
Think about what you’re looking to manifest in your life right now. What goals do you have for the upcoming weeks? Months? The next year? See clearly in your mind’s eye those accomplishments you wish to make.
Now focus the energy you have received from the Sun and the fire of your potential on achieving your goals. See yourself doing what you need to do to make your goals come to fruition.
Taking action
Once you have focused that energy, see within the bonfire your goals being completed. The flames dance in the shape of you accomplishing your goals.
You feel a desire to run, to move, to go forward. Take this energy and leap this bonfire, absorbing all of the motivation and drive it gives you to take the actions.
You land on the other side feeling like you can conquer the world. Above all, you know that you’ll accomplish your goals. All you have to do to make your goals a reality is take action. In addition, with the energy you have gained, you find it easy and you’re certain that you can do it.
Giving thanks
Feeling energized and motivated, you send gratitude to the Sun for imbuing you with its power. The Sun passes its peak, but, you feel recharged and refreshed. You know that this energy is available to you to achieve your goals.
You have a clear path for yourself to take. The Sun has shown you the way with its warmth and light. As a result, you go forth from this space ready to take on all you wish to accomplish.
Returning to the breath
Once you have sent your gratitude to the Sun, you now focus inward. You return your awareness to your body. Now focus on your breathing as you feel the glow inside your power center still shining. Breathe into the light, and exhale any doubts that come up. You know you will do what you set out to do.
After that, reestablish the breath, breathing in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Breathe in and out three more times. When you feel ready, open your eyes.
Reflection
Sit for a moment in quiet contemplation here. Reflect on what you have felt. What are the next steps you will take to accomplish your goals? Where will you focus the energy you have gained today? Feel the confidence and motivation within yourself to move forward. Know that you can come back to this place whenever you need an energy boost, or a little guidance to focus on your next steps.
